Arrange a GP home visit

If you or someone in your family is unable to come to the surgery because of illness, then you can arrange a home visit.

We can visit patients at home if they cannot leave the house. This does not include those who have difficulty with transport or are reliant on others to get to the surgery.

Please ask for a home visit before 11am if possible, as most visits take place over the lunch period.

Our clinicians triage home visits. You may get a visit from a doctor, nurse, or Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP).

We like to see patients in our clinic because we have the right equipment. If you can come to the clinic, we can give you more complete care and treatment.

Please do not request a home visit in cases of medical emergency. Instead, call 999 immediately.

If your GP refers you, a Community Nurse might visit you at home. Also, if you have a new baby or a child under five and are recently registered with a GP, a Health Visitor will visit you
